Hooked on Classics (Enlaces Corregidos)

Hooked on Classics (literalmente, "Enganchados en los Clásicos")" fue una serie de álbumes grabados publicados en 1981, al final de la época de oro de la música disco.
Louis Clark, antiguo arreglista en Electric Light Orchestra, dirigió la Royal Philarmonic Orchestra ejecutando una colección de extractos reconocibles de piezas de música clásica, durante un ritmo (a veces más rápido, otras más lentas o incluso con ritmos sutiles) vinculados en la misma canción. A esto se le llama Rock Sinfónico o Rock Orquestado, como la London Symphony Orchestra hizo con su serie Rock Clásico, con la diferencia de incluir menos efectos electrónicos.
El primer arreglo del álbum inicial fue un sencillo muy exitoso, alcanzando el Lugar 2 en la UK Singles Chart y la posición 10 en la "Billboard Hot 100" a finales-1981/principios-1982. Al menos dos álbumes más de "Hooked on Classics" fueron producidos por Louis Clark en 1982 y 1983, así como algunos otros álbumes "Hooked..." con ritmos como el swing. La serie se sigue ejecutando en fecha tan tardías como en 1988, cuando "Hooked on Classics" colocó extractos de música usando un bajo sintetizado y música House como ritmo en todas las adaptaciones. En 1989 la orquesta re-lanzó el álbum "Mixed up Classics", usando el nombre "Hooked on...", aunque todavía usando el estilo popurrí.

KC and the Sunshine Band -The Best

KC and the Sunshine Band es una banda estadounidense formada en 1973 en Miami, Florida. Su estilo ha incluido funk, R&B, disco, pop rock y dance. La banda fue formada por Harry Wayne Casey (KC), quien trabajaba de medio tiempo en una tienda de discos y en "TK Records" en Miami. KC originalmente llamó a la banda KC & The Sunshine Band Junkanoo, ya que utilizaba los estudios de TK y a una banda local llamada The Miami Junkanoo Band. En TK conoció a Richard Finch, quien hacía trabajos de ingeniería de grabaciones y lo integró al grupo. Este fue el comienzo de la colaboración musical Casey-Finch. También se unieron el guitarrista Jerome Smith (18 de junio de 1953 a 28 de julio de 2000) y el baterista Robert Johnson, ambos músicos de TK Records. Finch colaboró para KC & The Sunshine Band hasta 1980.

El propio Harry transformó su apellido "Casey" en : "K C", y "Sunshine Band" viene de Sunshine State (Florida). Entre sus canciones más conocidas destacan "That's the way (I like it)", "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty", "Get Down Tonight","I'm Your Boogie Man", "Keep It Comin' Love", "Please Don't Go" y "Give It Up".
Su presencia fue celebrada en el Festival de la Canción de Viña del Mar 1981, por sus melodías bailables de la época. En verano de 2009 se presentaron en este mismo escenario, uno de los más conocidos en Latinoamérica, donde causaron furor con su presentación.
